In der Kürze liegt die Würze

Als jemand, der in Oberhausen mit seinem berühmten Kurzfilmfestival aufgewachsen ist, weiß ich diese Filmgattung seit langem zu schätzen. Allerdings ist diese Filmform, deren Würze in der Kürze liegt und die zu vielen filmästhetischen Neuerungen Anlass gibt, heutzutage im normalen Kinoprogramm nahezu verschwunden: Der Wegfall der kommunalen Vergnügungssteuer scheint die Kinobetreiber davon suspendiert zu haben, einen Kurzfilm mit Qualitätsprädikat einem Hauptfilm ohne dasselbe voranstellen zu müssen.
Damit die Kunstgattung des Kurzfilms überhaupt noch zu sehen ist, bedarf es eigener Festivals, die sich ihrer annehmen. Und so freut es mich außerordentlich, dass München sich auch mit diesem Festival kurzer Filme auf riesiger Leinwand schmücken und internationaler Gäste erfreuen kann. Als Mitunterstützer wünsche ich dem Festival einen vollen Kinosaal „heißhungriger“ Besucher und denen wiederum gute Filme, die alle fünf angekündigten Geschmacksrichtungen aufs Beste bedienen und anschließend statt träger Sättigung lebhafte Diskussionen anstoßen.
